Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do you travel for destination shoots/weddings?

Yes, I do! I'm happy to travel wherever you would like! A travel fee may apply depending on the location. For destination weddings — especially in beautiful places like national parks — I offer a special option: if you cover my room and board, I’ll photograph your wedding at no additional cost. It's my way of combining my love for travel, adventure, and capturing love stories in breathtaking settings!

2. Do you help with planning our engagement session?

Absolutely! I’m here to make the entire process easy and fun. From choosing the perfect location to helping you coordinate outfits and suggesting the best time of day for lighting, I’ll guide you every step of the way. Whether you’re going for romantic, adventurous, or laid-back vibes, we’ll plan a session that reflects your unique love story — and make sure you feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera!

3. What are your cancellation and rescheduling policies?

I understand that life happens! If you need to reschedule your session, please give at least 48 hours' notice so we can find a new date that works for both of us. Your original deposit will be applied to your new session date. If you need to cancel completely, please note that the deposit is non-refundable, as it secures your session date and time. In the rare event of bad weather, illness, or emergency on my end, I will work with you to reschedule as soon as possible!

4.How long will it take to receive my photos?

Turnaround time depends on the type of session, but I always aim to deliver your gallery as quickly as possible without compromising quality. For standard sessions, you can expect your photos within 2–3 weeks, and for weddings, please allow 6–8 weeks for full delivery. I also love to send sneak peeks within a few days so you have something to enjoy and share right away!

MORE FAQ...

What time of day is best for photos?

In the summer, sessions around 5:30 PM offer brighter, more vibrant light — perfect if you love a light and airy look. Closer to 7:00 PM, we hit golden hour, which gives that soft, warm glow everyone loves. Keep in mind, this timing can shift depending on the season. As the days get shorter in fall and winter, golden hour moves earlier. I’ll always recommend the best time for lighting based on your session date!

Can I choose the location?

Absolutely! I love shooting in places that are meaningful to you — whether it's a park, city spot, or your own backyard. I also have a list of go-to locations if you need suggestions based on your style and vision.

How should I prepare for lighting indoors?

If we’re shooting indoors, try to choose a space with lots of natural light — near windows or open rooms with neutral walls. I’ll help position you to get the best lighting possible!

What should I wear for my session?

  • Neutrals & soft tones (like beige, white, blush, sage, or denim) always photograph beautifully and keep the focus on you.
  • Avoid loud patterns or large logos that can distract from your face and surroundings.
  • Coordinate, don’t match — if you're shooting with a partner or group, stick to a color palette and mix textures for a natural, cohesive look.
  • Layers and movement (like flowy dresses or open cardigans) add visual interest and look amazing on camera.
  • Most importantly — wear something that makes you feel confident and comfortable. You’ll look your best when you feel your best!
  • Need outfit inspo? I’m happy to help you pick pieces or send a mini style guide based on your session vibe!
