MORE FAQ...
What time of day is best for photos?
In the summer, sessions around 5:30 PM offer brighter, more vibrant light — perfect if you love a light and airy look. Closer to 7:00 PM, we hit golden hour, which gives that soft, warm glow everyone loves. Keep in mind, this timing can shift depending on the season. As the days get shorter in fall and winter, golden hour moves earlier. I’ll always recommend the best time for lighting based on your session date!
Can I choose the location?
Absolutely! I love shooting in places that are meaningful to you — whether it's a park, city spot, or your own backyard. I also have a list of go-to locations if you need suggestions based on your style and vision.
How should I prepare for lighting indoors?
If we’re shooting indoors, try to choose a space with lots of natural light — near windows or open rooms with neutral walls. I’ll help position you to get the best lighting possible!
What should I wear for my session?
- Neutrals & soft tones (like beige, white, blush, sage, or denim) always photograph beautifully and keep the focus on you.
- Avoid loud patterns or large logos that can distract from your face and surroundings.
- Coordinate, don’t match — if you're shooting with a partner or group, stick to a color palette and mix textures for a natural, cohesive look.
- Layers and movement (like flowy dresses or open cardigans) add visual interest and look amazing on camera.
- Most importantly — wear something that makes you feel confident and comfortable. You’ll look your best when you feel your best!
